Trash-Couture was established by Ann Wiberg in 2002 and was instantly a worldwide success. This future vintage brand has an ethical profile emphasizing sustainability, as the creations are made with stunning antique fabrics, laces, beads and unique embroideries, which thereby get a second life. The entire collection is hand-sewn within the company’s own atelier in Copenhagen, thus minimizing the waste of materials and excess production and ensuring good and controlled working conditions. The prevailing style combines a baroque aesthetic with the energy of rock and roll – Baroque & Roll.
“Trash-Couture is hand-dyed, recycled, feathered, draped, slashed, trashed and intended to empower the wearer. Fit for an urban – princess!” – Vogue France, 2002
